Operation time Graph
The graph below is a worst case scenario with very bad GPS conditions and GSM conditions, there is also a safety margin added to the operation time of 1.5.
Under normal circumstances operation time is longer then stated in the Graph below.

Power discussion:
The TrailTrac unit is available in two versions, either with alkaline batteries or Lithium batteries. The difference between them is:
Alkaline
- Cheap
- Lower capacity 18 Ah
- Does not work in temperature below -5 Deg C
Lithium
- Expensive
- Higher capacity 26 Ah
- Works in low temperature, down to -50 Deg C

- Every time the TrailTrac computes and transmits a position it consumes approximately 4,3mAh under worst condition
- The TrailTrac consumes approximately 0,05 mA in sleep mode (in between the fixes)
