Operation time Graph

The graph below is a worst case scenario with very bad GPS conditions and GSM conditions, there is also a safety margin added to the operation time of 1.5. Under normal circumstances operation time is longer then stated in the Graph below.

Power discussion:

The TrailTrac unit is available in two versions, either with alkaline batteries or Lithium batteries. The difference between them is:

Alkaline
  • Cheap
  • Lower capacity 18 Ah
  • Does not work in temperature below -5 Deg C
Lithium
  • Expensive
  • Higher capacity 26 Ah
  • Works in low temperature, down to -50 Deg C
Power Facts

  • Every time the TrailTrac computes and transmits a position it consumes approximately 4,3mAh under worst condition
  • The TrailTrac consumes approximately 0,05 mA in sleep mode (in between the fixes)
